Bald Spots due to Hair Loss

There are many stages of hair fall. When the stage crosses level 3, it becomes Hair loss. We can see bald spots in Alopecia or Male/female pattern hair loss. Hair Loss can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, stress, hormonal changes, and medical conditions. Let’s find out how to treat Hair Loss:

Firstly, let’s understand the reason behind Bald spots and hair loss.

1. Severe Stress

Stress is one of the most common reasons behind hair loss. When you continuously overstress on something and do not relax your brain even while you sleep, It leads to several problems. Stress gives both mental as well as physical problems.

High-stress levels can also lead to androgenetic alopecia. Also, stress can disrupt the normal hair cycle of your hair and your hair can face severe conditions like telogen effluvium.

2. Heredity (Family Condition)

These conditions are especially seen in males of the family. Male pattern hair loss starts in the early 40s. If your blood relatives like your father, grandfather, or uncle have the problem, there are chances of coming it to you as well.

Hair loss and Male/Female pattern baldness transfer from generation to generation. It can be treated if taken care of on time. It can happen because of a deficiency that is transmitted from generation to generation.

3. Recovery after several diseases

Sometimes your body recovers after several blood-infecting diseases like typhoid, dengue, malaria, jaundice, etc. After 4-6 weeks of recovery, the body starts showing some skin and hair-related problems. Problems like Dull skin, Skin peeling, hair loss, and Alopecia can occur. Furthermore, Your body starts feeling low and dizzy at this time.

4. Back-to-back hair treatments

Everyone wants manageable hair and for that, we opt chemical treatments like Botox, Rebonding, Smoothening, keratin, and whatnot. There should be a gap of at least a year for permanent treatment and 6 months for semi-permanent treatment.

In addition, it is very important to take care of hair while having these treatments like using prescribed shampoo and conditioner and taking hair spa frequently. If you avoid such post care there can be chances of hair loss.

5. Heavy Medications – How To Treat Hair Loss

If someone is suffering from long-term diseases like thyroid, cancer, thalassemia, etc they consume medicines and radiation therapies for a long time. In contrast, these medicines and therapies have side effects and one of them is hair loss.

It takes a very long time to get recovered from these diseases. Sometimes it can lead to alopecia because of its side effects. It is not only harmful to hair but also to the skin.

Now let’s find out how to treat hair loss.

1. Topical medications:

There are several topical medicines that come in gel, serum, or lotion form to apply to the scalp. These medicines help in stimulating hair growth and stopping hair fall. Medicines like Minoxidil, Procapil, Redensyl, Anagain, etc help in treating hair loss.

Furthermore, these medicines come in 2% to 10% solutions. It is very important to consult your dermatologist before using any of it.

2. Hair transplant surgery:

A hair transplant is one of the best and most expensive treatments to treat hair loss. It has proven results and well explains the treatment. It is commonly used to treat male pattern baldness.

Also, It is a treatment that takes hair follicles from one part of your body to your scalp. One part of your body is the donor site from where hair is taken and your scalp is the receiver’s site.

3. Scalp micro pigmentation:

Scalp micro pigmentation is nothing but a scalp tattoo that gives the illusion of hair. It is an art that makes hair-like patterns. Besides, it is only for small bald patches and scanty areas.

It can be quite painful but lasts for at least a year. On the other hand, it is not meant for you if you have big patches.

4. Lifestyle changes – How To Treat Hair Loss

This is a long-term practice that is going to give the best results for a lifetime. Taking a proper diet is very significant if you want good skin and hair. Happiness is the secret of everything that glows. Being happy and stress-free makes everything better with time.

Take supplements that help in treating several deficiencies. Good sleep is very important for inner healing. You should do meditation for at least 10 minutes.

5. Derma rolling

I have personally seen results of derma rolling on my clients. It helps in treating initial hair loss which occurred in 3-6 months. Using a derma roller on the affected area for 2-3 minutes results in micro-injuries. These micro-injuries boost collagen and stimulate blood circulation.

It helps in making new hair follicles and reviving the punctured follicles. Derma rollers come in different sizes and should be used once or twice a week. It is very important to consult a dermatologist before using it.

6. Wigs or hairpieces:

It is temporary but a good solution. You can wear wigs or hair pieces of different styles. In addition, you can remove it anytime as per your comfort. A lot of people opt for this and feel confident wearing it.

Before doing any of this, it is very important to consult a dermatologist. Hair loss has many reasons so it’s very important to find it out. You can ask your dermatologist if you can do any of these or not.
